Instruction Manual for the NEWBORN BABY MOVER® by Baby-Mover B.V.

WARNING:

  • You may lose your balance due to your own movements and those of the child
  • Be careful when bending down or leaning forward Do not use the baby carrier during sports activities.

Intended use:

The NEWBORN BABY MOVER® is a professional evacuation carrier designed to transport babies (up to a maximum of 3 babies, with a maximum weight of 5 kg per baby) out of buildings and other structures in the event of a fire or other emergencies. The NEWBORN BABY MOVER® is not suitable or intended for any purpose other than that specified above!

Instructions for Use

A. Before use:

  • Remove the NEWBORN BABY MOVER® from its packaging and hang it in a designated location so that the NEWBORN BABY MOVER® is quickly and easily accessible in the event of an emergency.
  • Protect the NEWBORN BABY MOVER® from moisture, heat, and strong sunlight, and ensure that the baby carriers are not subjected to constant strain; this will extend their lifespan!
  • Keep the NEWBORN BABY MOVER® out of reach of children and pets.
  • Baby-Mover B.V. accepts no liability for damage resulting from improper use of the NEWBORN BABY MOVER® or use of the NEWBORN BABY MOVER® for any purpose other than that for which it is intended.
  • Because the NEWBORN BABY MOVER® is used every month during exercises, it will begin to show some wear and tear after a few years. Therefore, check the NEWBORN BABY MOVER® regularly for defects or excessive wear.
  • Report any defects to Baby-Mover B.V. immediately and never attempt to repair them yourself!
  • Practice (if possible) the scenario under B at least once a month.

B. In the event that transportation is necessary:

  • First, put on the NEWBORN BABY MOVER®, then place the babies in the carriers, distributing their weight evenly among the carriers.
  • Always place a baby horizontally with the head on the side of the black gauze cloth. Turn the baby’s face toward the open-weave gauze cloth (black fabric) in a baby carrier from the
  • NEWBORN BABY MOVER®. Close the baby carrier with the clip fastener. Adjust it to be tighter or looser as needed.
  • The NEWBORN BABY MOVER® is made of fire-resistant material. Therefore, avoid placing anything on or attached to the NEWBORN BABY MOVER® or inside the NEWBORN BABY MOVER®’s carrying pouches.
  • MOVER® contains no flammable materials, or at least as few as possible.
  • Keep an eye on the children during transport
  • Do not consume hot beverages or food while holding children.

Baby-Mover B.V. guarantees the proper functioning of the NEWBORN BABY MOVER® and the soundness of the materials used for five years from the date of sale. The NEWBORN BABY MOVER® is manufactured with great care; both the materials and the construction have been extensively tested for soundness and suitability. The warranty applies only if the above instructions have been followed. In the event of a defect, Baby-Mover B.V. is entitled to repair the NEWBORN BABY MOVER®, replace it with another unit, or refund the purchase price, at the discretion of Baby-Mover B.V. Complaints regarding defects must be reported in writing to Baby-Mover B.V. within 5 business days of their discovery, and the NEWBORN BABY MOVER® in question must be sent to Baby-Mover B.V.The warranty is void in the event of improper or unauthorized use! The warranty is also void if modifications or repairs to the NEWBORN BABY MOVER® have been performed by anyone other than Baby-Mover B.V.

Appendix A: Storage Conditions

Temperature

  • Permissible storage temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C
  • Short-term exposure (≤ 24 hours): 0 °C to +40 °C
  • Do not store below 0 °C
  • Do not store above 40 °C

Prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures can reduce the tensile strength of the fabric and stitching. Sub-freezing temperatures can reduce the material’s flexibility.

Relative humidity

  • Recommended storage humidity: 30%–70% RH (non-condensing)
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to humidity levels above 80% RH

High humidity can promote mold growth and material degradation.

Protection against sunlight and UV rays

  • Store away from direct sunlight
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to artificial UV sources
  • Store the product in a closed cabinet or opaque packaging

Exposure to UV radiation can weaken textile fibers and stitching

Protection against chemicals

Do not store near:

  • Cleaning products
  • Moistening with disinfectants
  • Solvents
  • Chlorine-containing products
  • Oxidizing agents

Chemical vapors can damage textile fibers

Mechanical protection during storage

  • Store flat or loosely folded
  • Do not place heavy equipment on the product
  • Do not store on the floor

Mechanical stress during storage can weaken seams and stitching

Shelf life

The product must not be used after the specified service life has expired An annual inspection is recommended to ensure the product’s continued integrity.

 

Appendix B: Transport Conditions

Transportation includes movement within the daycare center, hospital, or other facility

General shipping requirements

During transport, the device must be protected from:

  • Extreme temperatures
  • Excessive humidity
  • Direct sunlight
  • Mechanical stress
  • Contamination
  • Rough handling

Internal transport

  • Transport the tool in a protective bag or a sturdy container
  • Do not wear it loose without protection
  • Do not place it near heat sources while on the move
  • Avoid prolonged exposure in hallways where there is direct sunlight.

External transport

For external transport:

  • Maintain a temperature between 0 °C and +40 °C
  • Protect from moisture
  • Protects against UV rays
  • Use protective packaging
  • Avoid crushing during transport

If transport takes longer than 24 hours, the storage temperature limits apply.

Packaging requirements

For external transport:

  • Use sealed protective packaging
  • Ensure protection against moisture penetration
  • Use shock-absorbing material to prevent strain on seams and stitching
  • Do not use vacuum compression packaging

Inspection after transport

After external transport or suspected exposure to adverse environmental conditions, the device must be inspected for:

  • Frayed Stitching
  • Loose seams
  • Thinning fabric
  • Discoloration or UV fading
  • Moisture or Mold
  • Fragility of the material

If a defect is detected, the device must not be used.

Deviation from storage or transport conditions

If the resource is exposed to:

  • Temperatures above 40 °C
  • Temperatures below 0 °C
  • High humidity (>80% RH for extended periods)
  • Direct sunlight for an extended period
  • Exposure to water
  • Mechanical stress

The device must be inspected before use. If damage or material degradation is suspected, the device must be taken out of service.
